Upon entering the hotel, an immediate sense of discomfort overwhelmed us, starting with an unprepared check-in at 2:00 pm. The lifts, not meeting safety standards were a real concern which added to the uneasy feeling. Once in our rooms, the atmosphere was dreary, with a pervasive smell of smoke masked by cheap perfume. The soft, uncomfortable beds and a non-functional room phone further marred our experience. Booked three rooms, and each fell short of satisfaction. Despite the unsatisfactory conditions and a departure in less than an hour, the hotel insisted on charging the full fare upon cancellation. This policy, combined with the disappointing experience, adds to the overall dissatisfaction with the establishment. The situation was truly disheartening. Despite requesting a room change due to these issues, the inspection merely involved more deodorant spraying. The breaking point was a dirty dishwasher, leading us to leave this disappointing establishment. This hotel warrants serious reconsideration.

I recently stayed at a hotel that boasted an excellent location, conveniently close to South Bank and Crown. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by several cleanliness and service issues, leaving me dissatisfied with my overall stay. One of the most noticeable issues was the cleanliness of the hotel. The corridor on my floor emitted an unpleasant odor reminiscent of rotting food, making the entire floor less than welcoming. In my bathroom, I discovered hair both in the shower and on the floor, which indicated a lack of thorough cleaning. Furthermore, the water boiler in my room emitted an unpleasant smell and appeared to be in poor condition. This not only affected my confidence in its safety but also made me hesitant to use it. I brought this concern to the attention of the staff, but no immediate action was taken to address the issue. Another point of frustration was my attempt to open the balcony. Despite requesting assistance from the hotel staff, no one arrived to help. Eventually, I had to go down to the front desk, where I was given instructions on how to open it myself. It turned out to be a challenging task as the balcony was jammed, contradicting the level of service I expected. Adding to my disappointment was the fact that I inquired about an upgrade, only to be informed that it wasn't available. Strangely, online availability suggested otherwise, leaving me confused and dissatisfied with the level of transparency and service provided.

My Fiancé and I decided to stay at Imagine Marco, Melbourne, with consideration towards previous reviews, however we were thoroughly disappointed with the experience. This was one of the most dreadful hotel stays we've had. 1) Washing machine/Dryer- after washing our clothes, and attempting to dry, our clothes continued getting more wet instead of drying. We then asked for room service assistance, and he proceeded to give it a try, and it further soaked our clothes and then told us the Dryer was not working. We understand technical difficulties happen, however he told us he would take our clothes elsewhere to help us dry it. Only to find out after we returned from an outing, that the staff left a drying rack in our room instead, and left our wet clothes in the machine. Clothes were ruined. 2) Door to the bedroom would not shut unless we moved the bed to the side of the wall, if which we did we would then have limited access to our wardrobe. Strange placement of furniture? 3) On multiple occasions we were woken up by house keeping, when we told them please do not enter the room we do not require services, they would persist and enter anyways. Very unprofessional. 4) Television- television in room had no remote and no switch to turn it on, we asked the hotel multiple times to send someone and they promised they would bring over a remote. It never came. 5) After all the trouble we would've hoped they would be slightly more flexible with us, and provide us with 1 or 2 hours buffer for check out time (on NEW YEARS DAY). However hotel told us we must leave at 10am, and we have the option to PAY by the hour after. We were fine with this, except on the day they said this option was no longer available and we had to check out at 10am. I usually am not the type of guy to sit and write a review on a place- but this was really horrible, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone hoping for any degree of service.

I stayed with imagine for the first and last time over the new years break, we checked in and just dropped luggage off and grabbed lunch when we got back we noticed a bad mould/wet carpet smell. I found mould in the bedroom cupboard and also holes in the wall covers with abit of thin metal. We rang reception the smell was so bad you couldn’t have slept in there, we were changed rooms, the next room has stains on the walls and carpet. The room hadn’t been cleaned. Bed was comfortable probably the only good part about the stay, wouldn’t recommend

We booked 2 rooms and were able to check into one early which was great. Went up to the first room and the bedrooms were tiny. Had to ask staff for coat-hangers as there were only 2 in the closet. Air conditioning did not work. When we were able to enter our second room 2 hours later the reception came to the door to advise they put us in the wrong room. Had to re pack and move to another room. Gym was very basic with only 3 different weights to use. Pool also disappointing. This hotel is for a basic one night stay. I would not recommend for any longer than one night. This is also a permanent residential building. Not for me and will not return.

Parking is available only if you pre book. It's not mentioned on the hotel website. Stayed for 5 nights, but missed house keeping for 3 days. Requested change of bed sheet, but was told they only change bed sheet every 7days. Again, it's not mentioned on booking. We also missing a blanket sheet on the last night. Stain and very dirty carpet in the living room. Stain also on blanket and pillow case as well. Apartment maintenance could've been done better. It looks a bit old now. Location is reasonable within walking distance to CBD. Unfortunately it's not in the free tram zone.

Good location, close to Southbank, supermarket across the road. The freeway can be quite noisy though. At check-in, wasn’t given the info sheet you’re meant to receive. Elevators are small with loooong wait time. Booked car parking and told they’d open the gate for us to enter - waited there for over 5 minutes, nothing happened and eventually just snuck in when someone came out. Couch had stains all over it. Needed to use the clothes dryer after walking back from the cricket in the pouring rain. The door handle for the dryer broke and wouldn’t open after the cycle finished. Called reception to ask for someone to help us - told that maintenance leaves at 5pm and we would have to wait until morning?! One of the bedrooms had a lock on the OUTSIDE of the room which is super weird and dangerous. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
